This may sound cheesy but I feel incredibly fulfilled when I’m able to dive into code and spend hours creating. It brings me so much joy. This internship had really been transformative. The opportunity to collab with other devs is really inspiring 🥰😭

But the anxiety never ends. Constantly refreshing my discord to see if I made the cut to start my internship Monday.. otherwise, I’d have to wait until July. I find out for sure by end of day tomorrow. 🥲

Huge wins tonight. Used Next Auth to get authentication on my app. All of the login / logout logic works and I’m so much closer to the MVP. Feeling so accomplished right now! Logging off for the night. Tonight was wins after wins

Feeling really great about my see journey so far! I just got word that I was accepted into a 6 week cohort and will be working on a team of developers to create a web app. This will be an amazing opportunity to level up my skills in development.

Diving into my code and doing a bit of refactoring. This is the part I love. Rolling up my sleeves 🤓

Meanwhile I’m over here just counting down the days until I no longer have to make these calls 🙃

My ADHD gets the best of me.

Working on the blog web app capstone project from Angela Yu’s course. And yes, I’m still working on my full stack app. Lol

Yet here in Orlando, as the city plans to add a homeless shelter, we have a group of people “NIMBY” who are actively trying to block this from happening. Because “not in my backyard” makes them feel safer. It’s such a selfish mindset. Let’s work together to provide housing and assistance.

I’m also making it a must to review theory after I code each night. It helps me gain a better understanding of programming, helping me think more in line of a programmer. Gotta get after it from every angle. #javascript #react #blacktech

Day 10 of #100daysofcode my coding challenge today was really exciting. I worked with string prototypes in JS. I also used the replace method to replace a part of my string with the new version of the text this challenge really pushed me to explore strings and methods in a new way. #javascriptmas

And with Thanksgiving already here, I won’t spend too much time tonight or tomorrow on it. I want to step away, clear my mind, eat some good food, and focus on the positive. When I return to this project, it’s game over.

I hit some road blocks with my full stack app this week. It was a bit discouraging but I got some kind words and advice on how to push through this, mentally and technically. Being self taught is not for the weak. The level of self discipline and grit is unmatched. Who else is there to push you??
