seriously made an impression, it convinced me that fast projectiles are often cooler than hitscan for that kind of weapon

it's so fun. Something about the round structure/weapons/maps captures that feeling of early online gaming where people didn't know how to be tryhards.

love the proportions on this, and alpha cutout arrows are a nice touch

Wooden Shield! Not super happy with the colors but since this was mostly for practice purposes I didn't wanna get stuck on this for too long. :P

Thanks so much for playing! Yeah I'm running a sneaky lowkey playtest as the game still has a ways to go, just looking to get the earliest feedback.
Let me know if you have any thoughts on the game if you haven't already :)

The player looks down upon many dilapidated, crisscrossing highways under a dome inside a concrete megastructure.

Just finished Metal Garden, highly recommended. It's an atmospheric fps by @alexandraht.bsky.social. The way the worldbuilding/narrative unfolds through the level design and snippets of info is fantastic.

I wish that at least one of the Steam competitors would realize the absolute baseline is having a good client app. They always throw together an ugly, bloated web browser disguised as an app that simultaneously has no features. People who play games care about UX!

This sounds so sick, it's honestly exactly what I want them to do with the formula. Throwing together a fresh build each run sounds so fun.

When the cost of hiring an artist would be a tiny fraction of the total production cost, why do you think they do it? "Testing the waters" feels a bit conspiratorial to me. I'm wondering if it's just lazyness of a couple individuals who don't feel like involving someone else in the process?

thanks so much! Haha yeah it took a lot of time to get the system working right. A mix of canned animations, bendy-bones responding to impacts, and impacts physically moving the target.
