There are ways in which settlement in Palestine mirrors the settlement of western North America, especially as it relates to the symbiotic relationship between settler and army against native, but the settlement process in 2026 is far more centralized than it ever was in 1830.

getting the last entry level job in the tech industry in 2022 was really a "last helicopter out of Saigon" type thing for me

As a midlevel litigator, I've noticed that AI is really speeding up how quickly I can do basic research of the kind I cut my teeth on as a junior, but it still requires significant analysis and judgment. AI is going to throttle the pipeline for midlevels but the need for midlevels isn't going away.

Also, "this tech kills the market for entry level jobs but doesn't make the need for people who were trained through the entry level jobs go away" is a clusterfuck for the industry.
