So what they are doing is increasing the number of districts where the results are more likely to be changed from election to election. More districts are going to be as they say "in play" and in effect reducing gerrymandering.

May I make another observation about this gerrymandering in Virginia, Texas, California, and (maybe) others. What they seem to be doing is taking districts with solid majorities and slicing them up so that those votes are apportioned to other districts to gain small majorities.

If you're eating them by themselves, yes. If you are eating them with ice cream, never.

A couple of days ago I read an article about the arrest (don't remember the site). The article did say that D4vd is pronounced "David". Which is not good because that's my name.

That is Taiwan beer. It is brewed by the Taiwan Tobacco and Liquor Corp. It is Wheat beer. Different from their version of German Lager that is in the green bottles.

Also the can of Wit Beer you are showing may also be wheat beer as in Belgium, wheat beer is called witbier.

Looks like they are selling wheat beer. Haven't noticed it before but then I just order the regular stuff when I'm in a restaurant.

When my daughter got her Ford Mustang EV about 3 years ago she calculated that her driving cost alone was about 20% of the cost of driving her Honda Fit. And that did not include the reduced maintenance costs.

People in Taiwan drink fruit vinegar all the time. A plum version is probably the most common one. One restaurant has their own grape trellis and serve grape vinegar as an aperitif with their meals.

When will people understand that cutting taxes (especially income taxes) almost always is followed by the cutting of social welfare spending.

Use the Bank of Taiwan. They are government owned and the government already has your passport number for when you entered the country and will get it again when you leave. I would bet that the Money Exchanges in the Airport are mostly bank "branches" and they will also want to see your passport.

Breaking is the appropriate lede for this photo. For most posts, it is not.

What are the right colors? I've been living in Taiwan for 40 years and have never seen anyone confronted because of the color of their outer wear except for a few occasions during protests of one sort or another. Since there are no protests going on now. You shouldn't be worried about what you wear.

The Iraq debate was rather one-sided. The presence of WMDs was rather sketchy. I believe that the Kuwait war (which was needed) let those in power to think that Iraq would have the same success.

In France, the family has a 9 passenger Renault van. The tank is 70 liters. A fillup last fall was always over 100 Euros. Now it would be pushing 150 Euros.

You are wrong about eating and drinking in a Convenience store. Most of them have table and chairs for customers to eat and drink what they have just purchased (maybe not alcohol as I haven't tried drinking beer in one. But tea, coffee, soft drinks, I've had all of them a one time or another.
