My 2nd appearance in Outlander - ep14. A great experience to have had such a nice scene w/ both the stars of the series Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan. A more relaxed scene showing a softer, sociable side of George Washington. Thankfully I didn’t have to eat the jellied eels!

And also the same books she used for research, particularly ‘Angel in the Whirlwind’ by Benson Bobrick. I loved learning about the real GW and how others knew him; unassuming, quiet, soft spoken and not the larger than life myth so many of us know him as. Felt a real affinity for him. #outlander

Thrilled to finally share that I was lucky enough to play George Washington in @outlander_starz. Felt quite the weight of responsibility playing the man! A huge honour and a daunting task, to say the least. Everyone has an idea of who he was. So I turned to @diana_gabaldon’s book for her take.
