In Boise, Idaho, a new state law banned displaying the Pride flag outside City Hall. So the city wrapped the flagpole in the pride colors.

I love this story, which I found at Erin in the Morning -- the best source of trans-related news.

A cozy indoor photo of Robyn Ochs resting on a brown leather couch under a floral patterned duvet. She is smiling while using a laptop covered in colorful stickers, including several LGBTQ+ pride designs. Two cats are keeping her company: a calico cat sitting on a wooden side table next to a mug, and a black-and-white cat lounging on the duvet beside her. The background shows a warm, lived-in living room with a wooden cabinet and soft green walls.

Day one, seven hours after returning home from knee surgery.  Excellent care and supervision from the medical team at the surgery center and at home.  Peg is being wonderful.

Also, I don’t think I’m being charged for the supplemental CAT scans which seem to be happening on an ongoing basis.

There’s a first for everything! I spoke at NYU last week, and my wonderful hosts at the Feminist Society even provided "bi-verages" and cups in the bi colors. Such a thoughtful, colorful touch! 💖💜💙

This NYT essay by Tarek Ziad resonated for many reasons. He quotes his mother asking, "Well, aren’t you bi? You could choose to be with a woman then... You’re making your life harder on purpose."

Enjoy this gift article. I'd love to hear your thoughts.

The quote recounts an experience from the Robyn Och's early twenties, where they attended weekly therapy for four months without disclosing their bisexual identity due to fear and uncertainty about the therapist's views on bisexuality. Ochs reflects on how they missed out on support for navigating the world as a bisexual person because they were too afraid to come out in a therapeutic setting. The graphic includes a blue quotation mark icon at the top and the "robyn ochs" logo in the bottom right corner.

In my early twenties, I saw a therapist but never mentioned being bisexual. I was too afraid to ask if my identity was seen as valid.

We need inclusive, safe healthcare spaces every day of the year so no one else has to hide who they are from those meant to help them. 💖💜💙

When 8 people own as much as 3.6 billion, the "problem" isn't the social safety net. It is the greed at the top.

A news infographic with a bright pink border. The top half shows a photo of the Stonewall National Monument sign behind a black iron fence adorned with several Progress Pride flags. Overlaid on the image is a blue "QUEERTY*" logo. Large blue text below the photo reads, "Stonewall ignites as protesters defy Tr*mp’s order to remove Pride flags from the historic LGBTQ+ landmark," with the byline "David Hudson." The Robyn Ochs logo is centered at the bottom.

Stonewall is sacred ground rooted in resistance. Removing the Pride flag is a deliberate act of erasure and a cowardly attempt to silence our history.

New Yorkers and the LGBTQ+ community will not back down. Our visibility is non-negotiable. 🏳️‍🌈✊

An infographic with a purple background and a large red and white AIDS awareness ribbon on the left. White text reads: "Florida reportedly halts proposed cuts to HIV meds after complaint." Smaller text below explains that Florida health officials paused plans to restrict access to the state’s AIDS Drug Assistance Program following a legal challenge by advocates. The bottom of the image features the Robyn Ochs logo on the left and the "them" logo on the right.

Advocacy works! ✊ Florida has paused plans to slash HIV medication access (ADAP) after a legal challenge. The cuts would have threatened lifesaving care for 16,000 people. In this climate, protecting LGBTQ+ healthcare is a vital victory.

The first Bi+ World Meetup of 2026 is tomorrow, Feb 6, at 4 PM ET! This free online event is a chance to connect with a global network. To me, it feels like a warm global hug. I love organizing this with Bi+ Nederland!
