Our cat Ghost is now the most expensive pet we've owned. She developed pyometra, and had an emergency hysterectomy - apparently just in time, because her uterus had actually ruptured right before/during the vet exam.
But, surgery complete, medications on board, and staple removal next week.

OMG, please no snow - San Antonio becomes crazy when there's a hint of RAIN, let alone snow. But if anyone can bring weather in the 70's, that'd be awesome, rather than the 80's.

We leave them up around our house, as well - amazing how many people DON'T knock on our door. We only knock down the ones they try to build directly ON the doorjamb, because that's a bit risky, since you can't see them until the door is opened, and they try to fly into the house.
Maybe people SHOULD feel shame when they do something massively inappropriate? Like - not rub your nose in the poop shame, but maybe "Dude, Not Cool, don't do it again" type shame?
Live animals are NOT appropriate to give as gifts without consent. Expressing fact that shouldn't be controversial.

Our cat was starving when we found her - so she's NEVER forgotten it! Since we started her on cheapy food (local grocery brand) - that's ALL she'll eat. But if the alarm goes past 6:30 am or 5:25 pm (when I walk in) - it's "Food Lady" baby meeps to remind me the kibble is gone and she might die.
So I struggled through the creepy bible girl song - and then Fish Heads - and this isn't nearly as creepy. In fact, the bible girl shows up in the blinky eye bit in the middle (almost exactly the same Prince Valiant Hairstyle)
In TX, you don't pre-register by party, but you choose the ballot for the Primary - either D or R. That lets you vote for the party candidates running for office. If you're a Dem, you'll get the list of Dem candidates running for House, Senate, etc. Primary winners run in the General Election.
