Now this is a lovely reminder as we go back to school!
Obviously, our children might not be able to fulfill all the above, but this is definitely setting the tone of an empathetic classroom.

Thank you to @yvonnepreddin for inviting me to contribute to this feature on female authors in the @IrishDailyMail. It was such a pleasure to write a piece for the This Life section in @youmagazine!
'Am I only a ‘good mum’ if my child is happy? Am I a ‘bad mum’ if they aren’t?'
Oh yes, what a great message for all of our children to learn, and in fact, what a great reminder for all of us too!
Good news! Please share!

This is something I am trying to learn more about at the moment. How many high masking girls in particular are going under the radar in the school system, and not getting the support they need.
This week on @dublincityfm I was joined by Katy Conneely for our Children's Book Show.
We received 106 books! We couldn't mention all, but hope that the podcast will give you lots of ideas for books for the children in your lives!

Same happened to my aunt who had private insurance all her life, but spent the end of her life in the public system. It was awful.
What do teachers see when they look at your child?
'When I look at my little friends I don't see their milestones, I see who they are: their heart, their actions, their inner voice, their struggles and triumphs, and I see you, and all the love you pour into them. '

Public Libraries can be wonderful places where children and adults can find books that they can see themselves reflected in, no matter who they are, and books that can introduce them to entire other lived experiences. Both are so valuable!
