An extra goodie, where we I tried to see whether Pol II clusters (cyan) are placed in pockets of low chromatin content, connecting via low-chromatin channels to NPC-rich export patches. I suppose both is the case.
Color merged microscopy image: magenta is bulk protein, green bulk DNA, and orange nuclear pore complex (NPC).
Bulk DNA staining, displayed as single color channel.
Nuclear pore complex, displayed as single color channel.
Bulk protein, displayed as single color channel.
For #FluorescenceFriday, I am sharing a first glimpse at Mona Wellhรคusser's @mofrawe.bsky.social new nuclei expansion microscopy.
Stained are bulk protein, bulk DNA, and nuclear pore complexes (NPC). Expansion is supposed to be 16x, in all three dimensions. Imaged with @visitech.bsky.social iSIM.

Our R&D team have been having fun with the #OpenStand from Prior. Both upright and inverted frames have been put through their paces ๐ฌ and are a very elegant implementation of #OpenPlatformMicroscopy ๐ฌ๐๐ฌ๐๐ฌ๐.
Thanks also to our partners @rappopto.bsky.social o.bsky.social, @hamamatsucorp.bsky.social, Vortran Laser Technology, @okolab.bsky.social, @asi-imaging.bsky.social, @coolled.bsky.social, Cairn Research Ltd and Nikon Microscope Solutions Europe.

Another day, another #VTiSIM install ๐, and another system to support the research community @crick.ac.uk. This time with FRAP and Opto-Genentics ๐ฏ๐ฌ.
Thank you to the wonderful Crick Advanced Light Microscopy group (CALM).
Happy Imaging ๐ฆ ๐ฌ๐๐๐.
Calling all Live-Cell Imaging Microscopists in the Philly Area
The VT-iSIM will be housed at The University of Pennsylvania from 19th to 30th January. If you want to drop in and try your samples, take a few cool pics, or just say hi, please get in touch via DM ๐๐ฌ.
Always great to attend the Facility Manager Meeting, organised by the @royalmicrosoc.bsky.social.
Even better when it's 5 minutes from home ๐๐๐ฆ ๐ฌ๐ฌ๐๐
VT-iSIM - Live-Cell, Super-Resolution Imaging for all....
Get in touch to learn more ๐ฌ๐งซ๐๐๐
The VT-iSIM incorporates two independent ยตLens arrays, each with 3,025 precision lenses. Together, they generate an array of diffraction-limited illumination spots at the sample plane and deliver pixel re-assigned PSFs directly to the detector, with no need for post-processing.
The VT-iSIM features VTi's patented 2D-Array scanning architecture; enabling scan, de-scan, and re-scan of multiple points of illumination and emission, with just a single moving element. Each scan produces a complete image, delivering ultra-fast, full-frame capture rates of up to 500 Hz.
With instant SIM technology, the VT-iSIM delivers super-resolution images in real time, with no reconstruction or post-processing required. You get spatial resolution down to 100 nm, reduced photo-bleaching, and across a wide field of view. Faster. Clearer. Smarter imaging.
Due to our innovative 2-D array scanning architecture, large independent arrays of ยตLenses, and the instant nature of re-assignment, the VT-iSIM delivers class-leading performance in photo-bleaching when compared to standard array and non-array scanning confocals, @2x spatial and axial resolution.
Always a pleasure and never a chore to be at @mblscience.bsky.social Woods Hole for @omibs-mbl.bsky.social
Another wonderfully organised course with excellent participants. Thanks as always to the fabulous organisers, faculty, TA's, course directors and the amazing vendor faculty family ๐๐ฆ ๐ฌ
The VT-iSIMz from VisiTech International delivers cutting-edge, live-cell, super-resolution imaging in a fully integrated, compact, and cost-effective platform, making advanced live-cell, super-resolution imaging more accessible than ever before.

The #VTiSIM is ready to rock at The Medical University of Graz. Thank you for all of the support from the Bioimaging Team in support of this demo and happy imaging ๐ฌ๐ฆ ๐
Save the date for what promises to be an amazing imaging/cell biology meeting!
If your planning to visit #MMC next week, and would like to look at the #VTiSIM up close, please drop by the Evident Scientific booth (stand 309).
Demo slots can also be booked by clicking on the following link: app.simplymeet.me/evident-mmc-...
Thank you to Ian Dobbie for organising a great workshop (in a very hot DC โ๏ธ) on the commercialisation of imaging systems within bio-medical research, and for giving me the opportunity to discuss the story of the #VTiSIM. Great talks and great discussion.
DNA channel fluorescence intensity with overlaid object segmentation labels of chromosomes / cell nuclei in a zebrafish embryo. Acquired by Sรผheyla Eroglu-Kayikci on @visitech.bsky.social iSIM, labeled by student assistant Philip Kohle and rendered by PhD student Nils Friederich using @napari.org
Great to be back @embl.org for the Advanced fluorescence imaging techniques course ๐ฌ๐ฆ ๐
VisiTech launches its new high-speed confocals! Capture ultrafast dynamics (1kHz) with our all-in-one solution, offering high temporal, axial, and spatial resolution across a large field of view, with minimal impact on your labs budget.
