I'm seeing a lot of people giving end of year wrap up stats. There's too much to say here, so I've made a post over on my website. Link below:
I just finished drafting what will probably be my last short story of 2025. It's been, altogether, a productive year. This year I've managed to write
1 novella
5 short stories
1 flash fiction piece.
It doesn't look like much, but it totals to about 10k more words than I wrote in 2024.
I can’t lift the lid on the details quite yet, but “The Consort” has a new home! Looking forward to working with @cloakedpress.bsky.social.
Thrilled to announce that my Yuletide horror short story, "Mari Lwyd," has been picked up by @horrificscribs.bsky.social. More about this to come!
Amidst the chaos of this past week, it's nice to wake up to some good news. I'm happy to say that I've just signed a contract to publish my short story, "The Semisomnous Method," in the forthcoming anthology "Are We Really Awake?."
I have not one, but TWO pieces in this one. Check out my short story “The Lockets” and my Drabble “The Image in the Glass”!
With that said, I am pleased to announce that I have signed a contract with @gravesidepress.bsky.social to publish “The Consort” as part of their Tiny Terrors line of novelettes. More details about this to follow!
After a lot of deliberation, my press and I have mutually parted ways. This, sadly, means that “The Consort” will not be released this month, as originally announced.
Excited to have my drabble, “Told in the Dark,” featured in this beautiful book by @brigidsgatepress.bsky.social! Just look at this cover!
The annual viewing of "The Crow" has commenced.
Illustration of The Girl with Barnacles for eyes, featuring a woman in a glass cabinet, curios behind, including an octopus at the forefront. Illustration by ECHO ECHO
Cover of Split Scream vol. 5 featuring Lyndsey Croal and Bitter Karella
Happy #WorldOctopusDay! A good day to check out Split Scream Vol. 5 from @tenebrouspress.bsky.social, two novelettes from myself and @bitterkarella.bsky.social! The Girl With Barnacles for Eyes (SJA nominated!) features a fave character Otto the Octopus! 🐙 🌊 store.tenebrouspress.com/products/spl...
Can confirm that these novelettes are SO GOOD!
Hadn’t thought of this one in awhile. Awesome!
I just added the collection to my next book order. Can't wait to read it!
I read it in Best Horror of the Year 15. It was my favorite of the collection!
@jacobstevenmohr.bsky.social I just read “1855”, and it absolutely blew me away. Excellent story!
Curling up with the complete first draft of my novella for a read through and a round of edits. I’m unreasonably excited!
Just broke 30k words on my current WIP, so that's pretty cool.

Thanks for reading! I actually submitted a story to podcasts for the first time ever a few weeks ago. I'm certainly open to this one being narrated, too.
I'm eventually going to write a follow-up to "Wampus," as well. I'll let you know when it's done.
_What Lurks: A Cryptid Anthology_ from @gravesidepress.bsky.social releases today! This book features my short story "Wampus" alongside an assortment of other excellent creature features. Check it out! (Link in the comments)
