30 years ago today Manic Street Preachers released “A Design For Life” which is one of the most famous songs of the whole Britpop era...in fact the whole 90’s.
This was their first single after the band regrouped following Richey’s vanishing.
30 years ago today, the latest edition of the “Best…In The World…Ever” was released.
What’s the best track on it?
I might go with “Stutter” by Elastica.

Here’s the band in Melody Maker 30 years ago this week for anyone who’s not aware of them.
Happy 35th birthday to “There’s No Other Way” by Blur.
This was their second single and first to go top ten. It would be nearly 3 years until they had another next top 10 single.
That’s the music I grew up hearing from my parents record player. It’s the music that inspired a lot of the 1990’s Britpop which is my own era.

30 years ago today Ocean Colour Scene released “Moseley Shoals”.
IMHO this is one of the best albums not only of the 90’s but of all time. It’s musicianship and songwriting were of a level few peers could match.
