I will also note, just cause it took me the last too long to figure out, make sure that the mod you made in penumbra is turned on. Like get the path in the textools:
chara/monster/m8263/obj/body/b0001/vfx/eff/vm0001.avfx
make the mod in penumbra and then enable it. Should work.

I know textools has the vfx id as zero but I did find a vfx for the clockwork lantern minion under common, which *might* be the glow you're trying to replace. Not sure since I don't have that minion but couldn't hurt to give it a try!
