would you rather wait until it happens on SCOTUS again or what's your point here
these are octogenarians in an incredibly stressful job who have genuine obligations to hundreds of thousands of people, dying on the job is both very foreseeable and literally a dereliction of duty

every time i see a right-wing org name i’m not familiar with i look up its funding and of course it’s always horrible but also - OF COURSE these dipshits think everyone are paid agents, they all are
conservative ideas are shit unpopular unless there’s a ton of dark money funding propaganda

in this particular case yes all
particularly when PROTEC17 was one of the first and largest endorsement blocks to support katie wilson, and its executive director was on her transition team
(also - this isn't about wilson? so maybe stay on topic. but whatever, muting this thread, i have work to do)
"I don’t give a shit what PROTEC Union thinks"
buddy i can tell, and i don't think we're going to agree on this! the reality is that labor protection laws are written in blood, and kneejerk opposition to union protection for the sake of theoretical "progress" is childish
if you don't think public employees deserve labor representation, that's a coherent (incorrect) position to take, but saying "the public elected this guy, so do what he says" is just silly
this is really bad logic. if the people elected someone who advocated for any truly bad policy (independent of my feelings on this issue) it would be the role of a public workers' union to oppose it.
from this article. and i don't know that i have any proscriptive solutions to add, but as many have noted, more studies aren't going to solve the problem - we need safer pedestrian & bike infrastructure and that means action, not think tanks.

if you take a minute of silence for israelis killed on october 7 you should also take about 67 consecutive minutes of silence for the palestinian civilians killed by the idf since
just to put that into some perspective for you
did you also get the personnel files?
maybe a hot take but wembenyama’s best skill is being 7’6” and not tripping over his own body
his actual basketball skills are *good* but if he was 12” shorter we’d never know his name
now, he IS 7’6” so that doesn’t really matter but still
more coverage of how fucking weird and stupid all these tech gurus are
