We argue that ethos should be seen as a structural and evaluable dimension of school quality.

The study suggests that ethos does not have to remain vague or merely aspirational. It can be translated into shared standards and statements of effective practice.
The article looks at the development of the Educate Together Ethos Quality Framework in Ireland and its pilot in 20 schools.
One important finding was the perceived impact at both school and network level: schools gained clearer guidance on what ethos looks like in practice, while Educate Together gained a stronger framework for supporting, monitoring, and developing ethos across its network.
