Late to the party as ever, but just watched Eulogy, from season seven of Black Mirror. Jesus, what an incredible piece of work. Cried my eyes out.

Not happy about which English club it is, but there’s something that feels proper about teams from four countries being the final four. Very pleasing that it’s not just one league dominating things
Baying for blood now is stupid. Everyone needs to take themselves for a walk and remind themselves of some history
But that’s how it goes. Under Klopp we corrected that 20-21 season to come second and win two cups in 21-22. And then in 22-23 we came 5th and won nothing (I’m not counting the Community Shield). And then what happened? 3rd again and a league cup the next year and then the year after, the title
I’m not saying people should be happy about the fact we’re struggling, that we’re not the fluent team we were last season. But we were clearly coming to the end of a cycle. This was always going to be the start of a transition. And guess what? Next season might also be more of a struggle as well
It’s getting really tedious people shouting for change when there’s no plan behind that. Do people not see other teams in the league and the absolute shambles those changes without good planning lead to? Look at Chelsea, Christ, looks at bloody Spurs
Slot could literally finish 3rd this year - Christ, it’s possible we could be 3rd depending on the results of the weekend. It’s been a bad season but look at the context - all the changes in personnel, the injuries, Jota’s death. They’re not excuses, they’re facts.
The endless need for narrative is driving people mental. Memories appear to be so short. There were various struggles under the Klopp years - it wasn’t an unending river of success. Has everyone forgotten 2020-21? Yes, many a time we got wins with bad performances. But many a time we didn’t #lfc
Still, the queue meant that I managed to finish my first book of the holiday before I’d even left the airport. My red hot take for a book that came out in 1989? Yeah, it’s pretty good
Only the 55 minutes to get through passport control. Thanks Nigel, thanks Boris.
I Work Very Hard, And I Would Like To Try Cake By A Horse Hello. I am a horse. I work very hard at my job of being a horse. When humans say move the heavy thing, I move the heavy thing. When humans sit on top of me and pull on my head, I carry them where they want to go. The main food the humans give me is hay and oats. But I am thinking it would be nice to have a different food. I am thinking I would like to try cake. Yes, yes. Cake. I know all about it. When humans eat cake, it is in glad times. It is the food for a celebration, such as when a woman becomes 47. I have seen cake on the Fourth of July. When humans have a cake, they stand around it and clap hands and smile and say happy birthday at each other. Sometimes there are beautiful markings on a cake, such as balloons or a pink shape. Sometimes the top of a cake is on fire and a boy must blow on the fire with mouth wind. This is the scariest cake. I do not want this kind. But I will eat any other cake. Any cake that is not the fire cake that tries to kill the boy. Please understand: I do not get money for doing work. I do not get to go inside the house. All I am either doing my horse job or standing in my pen or eating food off the floor. I always do these things. But I have never once gotten cake and I would like it very much. I have noticed that human children get to eat cake. But I am bigger than the children. I am more helpful to the farm. Children do not move the heavy things like me or let anyone ride on them. And yet they get cake. Maybe the humans will realize this. Maybe they will say, "You know who deserves cake? That horse. That horse whose back we are always on." Every day I dream about what it will be like if I get to eat cake. Here is what will happen. First, I will walk to the cake and putt my nose at it like hrrfff to make and stomping my hooves to make sure it is not a snake. Then I will trot in a circle to show that I am a horse and I am large. After that, I will nuzzle the cake to …
The horse op-ed is an instant classic. I can't tell you how much joy this piece gives me.
It should be taught in every introductory writing class in no small part because the horse arguments are so compelling. "I have noticed that human children get to eat cake. But I am bigger than the children."
Why do you never see rhinos hiding in trees?
Because they’re really good at it
It’s good bad, but it’s not evil
Salah thunderbastard vs Chelsea #lfc
Reform are banning Christmas, lads
Good statement from the club. All support to Ibou - this kind of abuse is entirely unacceptable and needs to be strongly challenged #ynwa www.liverpoolfc.com/news/liverpo...

I simply refuse to believe this isn’t a Chris Morris sketch:
The supercut of this is going to be absolutely immense
This is amazing. Genuinely thought it was from The Onion when I first glanced at the title.
100%
This happened to us a couple of weeks ago. Was totally bizarre and completely unnecessary
Phenomenal work
The crisis of masculinity is not men who are too effeminate or some other rubbish. It’s men whose inability to deal with their insecurity & shame leads them to destructive behaviours. Its bad when the effect is at the personal level but it’s catastrophic when it’s at the societal/political level
Up next:
Operation Roid Rage,
Operation She Turn The Wee Uns Against Us
I've been watching council planning committee meetings as research for my next short film and it's remarkable how many of them involve a professional woman giving evidence getting bellowed at by red-faced old men.
Shocked to discover that Reform are blaming people who aren’t white for their defeat. So unlike them
My mum once described it like a door in your head that once you’ve opened it, it never closes, it’s always slightly ajar. And circa 15 years since my last cigarette, yeah, can confirm
We urgently need some new rules in place to prevent anything like this happening again
