At this stage I'm seriously considering using GeoNodes hairs; that's how desperate I am.

How hard could it be to make hair cards? Well, it's freacking hard. Okay, I wanted something messy, but this is a bit too much...

The thing is, I tried a lot of game engines/templates. UE, Godot, Pygame, and I'm forgetting some. Really varied stuff. RenPy is like "You want to tell a story? You're good (enough) with art? We'll take care of the rest"... and I like that!

Contrary to what I thought, the RenPy part is quite easy to get started with. Many useful tools are integrated, and you can find answers to common questions on the forums.
Of course, many things (particularly the UI) are still placeholders!
