This is the moment that Ventrik has been waiting for: the chance to grab a sample of a creature he still doesn't quite understand (as most don't.) @blackeyeart.bsky.social had a lot to do to encompass this part of the script.

Ventrik and Tanya stand at the edge of a collapsed cityscape, looking down at the concentric layers below. A caption reflects that Tanya never made a sound as events unfolded. The scene shifts back to the underground chamber where the creature fills the space. The walls crack and debris falls as the structure of the underground chamber begins to fail. The ceiling of the chamber gives way. Silhouettes of armed figures and wights appear at an opening, suggesting activity on the level above as the collapse spreads. In the next panel, one of the creature’s tendrils strikes upward, violently impacting a figure who smashes in the wall of the chamber. A second figure is struck by another tentacle and vaporizes. The final panel returns to Ventrik observing a single tentacle trapped beneath debris, focused and composed as the destruction continues around him.

A comic page shows a laboratory interior during a violent structural collapse. In the first panels, Ventrik and Tanya, both wearing white lab coats, react as cracks spread across the ceiling and walls. Tanya turns as the building rocks and shakes and begins to fall while Ventrik reaches toward her. In the next panel, Ventrik grabs Tanya and pulls her away as the structure shifts. Cracks in the structure continue as large chunks of ceiling break apart, fragments of concrete and equipment fall into the room. A wider panel shows both characters bracing themselves as debris rains down around them. In the final panels, the building continues to collapse, and the scene pulls back to reveal an exterior view where the ground in front of the building has fallen away, exposing underground levels and infrastructure as buildings tilt and break apart.
You could hear it before. Now you can see it.

The memory sequence that begins on this page is something that I never covered in the first decade of the setting's existence, so it's an interesting experience to begin to delve (almost literally) into it.

Ventrik and Tanya stand in a tunnel opening as Scylla fills the chamber beyond. Tanya looks down, tense, while Ventrik rests a mechanical hand on her shoulder. In the next panel, Ventrik observes the creature from behind as a faint patterned glow appears within its body. He suggests the light behaves like a signal or scan, comparing it to something musical or structured. The scene shifts to a blue-toned flashback inside a laboratory. Ventrik works at a bench with glass equipment while Tanya reviews technical documents nearby. The environment is calm but uncertain. Suddenly, violent shaking begins. Equipment rattles and both characters are thrown off balance as loud rumbling and explosive sounds fill the room. The final panels shows Tayna diving to the lab floor as the structure destabilizes.
There’s a pattern in it.
And then everything breaks.

SCYLLA PAGE 15 - A comic page set inside a catch basin chamber beneath the streets of the city Haven. In narrow top panels, a pink, semi-translucent tentacle slides across rubble and concrete, its surface textured with darker cells and a faint internal skeletal structure. The tentacle suddenly comes to attention, it's tip turning a darker color. In a side panel, Ventrik stands behind Tanya inside a narrow tunnel. He wears a blue work suit and a techno-mechanical glove. Tanya crouches in front of him holding a tablet. She asks if the creature can see them. Ventrik tells her not to move and says if it were certain, they would already be dead. A larger panel shows the creature emerging into the chamber, resembling a massive pink-ish anemone with dozens of thick tendrils radiating outward. Debris falls as it anchors itself against concrete and pipes and strikes at the ceiling of the chamber. A caption notes that the darker coloration at the ends of the tendrils may provide vision. Another caption states that even if they survive inside the sewers, they may not survive trying to leave.
If she can see them, it’s already too late.

Scylla Page 14 - A comic page set inside a large underground chamber that serves as a catch basin for the sewers beneath the city of Haven. The top panel shows concrete walls lined with drainage openings and broken pipes as gunshots and explosions echo from the streets above: “BANG,” “KA-BLAM,” and “BOOM.” Water spills from a ruptured pipe into a shallow stream running across rubble-covered ground. On the right side of the chamber wall, a large circular tunnel opening has been breached. Pink-ish colored tentacles grip the edges of the large tunnel. As the creature slowly emerges, a guttural sound effect stretches across the panel. In the lower panels, Ventrik and Tanya stand inside a narrow earthen tunnel facing the chamber. Ventrik, wearing a blue jumpsuit and a tech-mechanical glove, gestures toward the creature and explains that it digs by reinforcing the bones behind its ridges, which must be strong enough to score concrete. Tanya looks up at him as the creature which looks like a large anemone emerges further from the tunnel.
She doesn’t break walls.
She reshapes them.
