Child care that ends at 3 p.m. doesn't work for many working families. So we're changing it.

This fall, our 2-K program will pilot year-round care for 2-year-olds, with a full 10-hour day from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Because truly "universal" child care matches the reality of working people's lives.

'How are you using AI?' Your therapist should ask you that question, experts argue A paper in JAMA Psychiatry says mental health providers should ask if patients are using artificial intelligence chatbots, just as they would ask patients about sleep habits and substance use.

Mental health care providers should inquire if and how their patients are using artificial intelligence, just like they seek information on sleep, diet, exercise and alcohol consumption.

That's according to a new paper out in JAMA Psychiatry.

Amazon reportedly failed to create any new jobs at its HQ2 in Virginia last year, despite millions of state tax incentives.

The company has cut 30,000 jobs since last October โ€” while saving $4 billion in taxes under Trump's Big Ugly Bill.

Text Shot: The implications of driving down the cost of research assistance are not simply positive or negative. On one hand, agentic AI may prove to be a leveling force across scholars with different levels of access to research funds. This applies both to researchers at differently endowed universities or research institutes (both within countries and across countries) and researchers at different stages of career development: even undergraduates will be able to harness their own agentic AI research assistants. On the other hand, the training opportunities associated with being a research assistant may be harder to come by in the future, leaving open the possibility of students getting less hands-on training doing research at precisely the moment when the barriers to starting on their own research have never been lower. We suspect that the way in which we teach undergraduates and train graduate students will need to adapt to this new reality

Across 3 experiments (n = 3,285), we found that interacting with sycophantic (or overly agreeable) AI chatbots entrenched attitudes and led to inflated self-perceptions.

Yet, people preferred sycophantic chatbots and viewed them as unbiased!
