Trail across a green hillside with a tree’s branches on the right.
Coal Canyon Cutoff…
This trail knocks a few hundred feet of vertical off on the McGuire trailhead… it’s really sketchy and treacherous once it goes into the ravines.

Panorama of sun dappled low mountains…
McGuire Peaks…
Eagles view trail winds through hillside forest on the north side of Sunol by Welch creek. A pleasant walk under cover on a single track trail… all good!

Uvas Falls…
A short walk up a mild hill, this is a very accessible waterfall. I somehow think reservations are required…

Kite Hill Rock…
At the midpoint on kite hill in Garin is this orange lichen encrusted rock formation.
You get an interesting view of the kites from the field several hundred feet below flying on the hill’s anabatic lift.

At the top of the cliff in Sunol is a wonderful bench, you could sit for hours and watch the world go by from a safe distance…

Cataracts Sequence…
This a steep canyon and it is best, and most treacherous, when it’s very wet…
Experienced campers have a beach towel in their kit to cover the car seat :)

Distant hill occluded by an overhanging oak tree…
Flag Hill from Eagles View…
This has been sitting in a rack by my door and I have been obsessing on it gently…
I am thinking about making a 60” canvas version, I could live with that :)

Bitterwater Super Bloom
I like driving down California route 25, the airline highway. Lots of hills and when you are lucky some super blooms.
I think we will be lucky this year…

Oak ravine
Nice place, I come here every green season. Little creek and hawks cruising for burgers…
Cows and an oak tree
I found a good use for AI…
I used it to write shell scripts to make Image Magik to do my rote image processing.
In this case convert a full res tif into a 2350px jpg.
I used Claude and it has helped my workflow greatly, now I actually have an organized collection of jpg’s on my phone :)
Stretched canvas print of trees and hills.
Here’s the finished version of the last print I showed, ready to hang!
Stretched canvas print
Here’s the finished ready to hang print, it came out well!!!
I get to pick up the stretched print today, I will deliver it mid-week and hopefully we can see the result!
This is a nice sized Vertorama, 32x64 which will yield a finished 28x60 gallery wrapped canvas.
