There is also a lot of oversight, committees of experts and scientist that make sure that we get the most bang for our buck. But this administration is not particularly in love with expertise.

NIH investments are not too lucrative to private investors. Benefits all of us but those investments are not to efficient to benefit a corporation or a group of individuals.

This is devastating at so many levels. There is a lot of good that comes from those investments.

All NIH study sections canceled indefinitely. This will halt science and devastate research budgets in universities.
