One year ago today, I released the animatic pilot of Lumi and the Great Big Galaxy, a project I was finally able to bring into the world in 2025.
I wrote a little retrospective a year out since its release. There's a lot I wish I could have said, but I hope this is enough.

This is something ghibli films do extremely well too, particularly Nausicaä Valley of the Wind where they chose insects as their focus for environmental & wildlife conservation. Ppl really need to move away from thinking only the cute/pretty parts of nature are worth saving
