If anyone knows any LEEDS families, please share this with them. I have one more Easter holidays family comedy show and it’s Tuesday 14th. Ticket sales are currently low 😢 so any help spreading the word will be met with eternal gratitude!

This is my favorite climate change chart. Japanese monks, aristocrats, and emperors kept meticulous records of cherry blossom festivals for 1,200 years and accidentally built the world's longest climate dataset.

Just can’t believe that wanting to financially punish women who miscarry didn’t swing the vote for him.

Stupid woke voters.

Obviously everyone's going to focus on the Green's victory but it's important not to forget that Matt Goodwin is a terrible person who deserves to never be happy

‘A safe space to come and just be’: the radical, utopian return of Britain’s youth clubs After a decade of austerity closed more than 1,000 centres, the government has promised £500m to renew youth services. We tour a glossy new venue in Preston – and a girls-only one in London

We all need to be more vocal in supporting arts in our schools. A-level Music is down 43% since 2010, with under 5k in 2024. Only 16% of schools entered students into GCSE Dance, with entries down 59% to 6,723. A-level Dance just 960!

When you next hear a billionaire screaming at you that trans people are a “danger to women and girls”, just remember who’s in the Epstein files.

Trans people: zero.
Billionaires: all of them.

So far the "Board of Peace" is Trump, Orban, Lukaschenko and Netanyahu.

Which if you wrote in a satire would be considered too outlandish and sent back.

‘Defecting to the reform party’ is a polite euphemism for telling guests at a dinner party that you need to go for a poo.

“I’d love to hear all about your holiday in Sardinia but first I just need to defect to the reform party”

I am on a tight deadline writing the latest youth theatre plays and for some reason constantly checking the doom-laden news in a heightened sense of anxiety is not helping.

If women quit X because of Grok’s deepfake nudes, the predators win – so I’m staying As women abandon X because of its use to generate non-consensual sexual imagery, the danger is not just what happens to those who stay, but what happens when abusers are left alone on the platform, sa...

Your occasional reminder that it's not the job of women to stay in toxic spaces in order to civilise men. (This piece is written by a woman, btw.) www.independent.co.uk/voices/grok-...

Just heard an AI ethicist talk about how important it is that we say ‘MEN are using Grok to undress images of babies, children and women’ not ‘Grok is….’. Grok isn’t responsible for the action, the men enabling & using it for this repulsive purpose are. Small but important bit of linguistic accuracy

OF THE EMPIRE

We will be known as a culture that feared death and adored power, that tried to vanquish insecurity for the few and cared little for the penury of the many. We will be known as a culture that taught and rewarded the amassing of things, that spoke little if at all about the quality of life for people (other people), for dogs, for rivers. All the world, in our eyes, they will say, was a commodity. And they will say that this structure was held together politically, which it was, and they will say also that our politics was no more than an apparatus to accommodate the feelings of the heart, and that the heart, in those days, was small, and hard, and full of meanness.

Ever relevant, this poem by Mary Oliver, especially today.
