"At least you'll die before the goblins find the children" is one of, if not actually THE, most evil responses a gamer has been able to choose in any game ever.

The bakers' association in Gaza has said that flour and fuel are rapidly depleting, with virtually no aid or commercial goods entering.

A black star-shaped purse with a clear window that allows visibilty pf numerous pins, such as Tortoro, Princess Ponyhead, GIR from Invader Zim, a genderqueer pride flag D20 with the warlock symbol, and several other queer/nerdy pins.
I'm going to need to get some more pins, as I appear to have lost quite a few over the years.
Please feel free to link me recommendations!

I love that you call Winona creepy
Reading about my serial killer uncle is hitting really close to home seeing how most people in my family (including me) act a lot like him, except for the beating our spouses and murder parts. I mean, as far I know, no one else is a murderer.
Probably?
Maybe I should not make murder jokes.
TRANSCRIPT OF CARTOON This cartoon has four panels, each showing a different scene. In addition, there’s a small “kicker” panel under the fourth panel. PANEL 1 The panel shows a counter at a fast food restaurant. We can see a couple of customers, and a couple of workers. The workers are wearing hats that very vaguely resemble hamburger buns. A sign on the wall shows a smiling hamburger with eyes, below the caption “Soilent Green YUM.” A smaller sign says “SAFETY” in larger letters followed by tiny print, which says “is a word we use a lot so you can’t sue us.” The worker at the cash register is turning to speak directly to the reader. WORKER: To get an official photo I.D., I have to go to the nearest government office, which is 90 miles away, and I don’t have a car, and even if I did my boss won’t give me a weekday off. PANEL 2 We’re in what looks like someone’s back yard. In the foreground is a garden, with some sort of plant being grown in tidy rows. An elderly woman is kneeling on the ground in front of the garden, wearing a floppy straw hat, an apron with a floral patter, and holding a trowel. She speaks directly to the reader. WOMAN: I can’t get I.D. without a birth certificate. But when I was born home births didn’t get birth certificates. PANEL 3 A mover wearing jeans and a black tank top is carrying a sofa as he’s talking to the reader. MOVER: The state charges $60 for a driver’s license…. but first I’d need a copy of my birth certificate, which is $30. I can’t afford 90 dollars to vote! PANEL 4 This panel shows the interior of a coffee shop. A man and a woman sit together at a table. They're both looking at their devices, him annoyed, her dismissive. MAN: Why wouldn’t anyone be able to get an I.D.? Idiots! WOMAN: People like that don’t deserve to vote. SMALL KICKER PANEL UNDER THE BOTTOM OF THE CARTOON The man from panel 4 yelling at Barry MAN: If it’s easy for me it must be easy for everybody! That’s just science!

Me: but we can all agree "speed hump" is never not funny, right?
Son: no street sign should ever say "hump" and anyway, speed bump is the same thing
Me: but smaller
Son: they serve the dame purpose, why not just say bump?
Me: according to MODOT, size *does* matter
Yeah, this one definitely was not on my bingo card for "weird shit kids say"
It's set between the end of the show and the 'Serenity' film. I can guess why: they consider Wash, and the Wash/Zoe relationship, too valuable. But this really is both a mistake and an act of creative cowardice. Whether that was the cast's call or the money's call the point stands. Don't get me wrong: we have much bigger problems at the moment. But, to take a moment away from those problems and address a point of craft: I can't believe the US is still - STILL - death-gripping the notion that prequels are a good idea. There's an inherent lack of tension in having *read the ending already*. An ending, I might add, that fueled a ton of unresolved tension - desire - to know *what happens after that ending*. Fans have held that tension for almost twenty years and this is what they get. Prequels fundamentally disrespect the trust and investment viewers placed in what you made. If it was a story worth telling you'd have started there. On some level we all know we're being handed warmed-up leftovers. Final point: I had no intention of supporting this as Baldwin (who plays Jane) was one of the main instigators of GamerGate and *created the hashtag*. By association the cast approves of his company while also enriching him. If you're cool with providing work for a pop-eyed right-winger who created what is arguably the defining incel movement and marshalled an army of men to terrorize women for having careers and opinions then, frankly, nobody should feel safe working with you ever again. And you certainly shouldn't be supported. Especially in this current moment. Weak art, stale bread, handled by a dirtbag whose involvement diminishes everyone involved. Take a hike.
Thanks to Cam Rogers on Facebook for articulating exactly the issues around the new animated Firefly that's been announced.
This needs to be stopped, and likely needs to have people camped out like during No DaPL protests. These corporations are going to eliminate all the old-growth trees you claim to love.
Stop them. You squat on our land. Protect it.
