yooooooo this looks great!! i love the gilding too

it was honestly super interesting, but caused my rsi to act up something fierce since even with pigment heavy gouache most stuff needed 3+ layers LOL. the class also included painting on real vellum, which was neat as hell

yeah, gouache and egg yolk! ill see if i can dig up my work later. i think we used winsornewton tube colors? cake colors and anything with too much binder was kind of bunk. works really nicely on stuff that doesn't usually take water based media though as long as it has a little bit of tooth!

oh i actually took a class on this! give a couple of hours between layers (or you can bake it with a hairdryer iirc), but the top layers will always reactivate the under layers so you have to let it dry completely every time
