Innovation is at the core of so many Illinois companies, including Rivian.

Rivian’s partnership with Redwood Materials to reuse its own batteries is the kind of ingenuity that makes our state a leading player in clean energy and tech.

The people asking the *questions* also all HATE PROTESTS. LOL. That's what's so funny about the pieces and posts. They are all East German figure skating judges of protest.

They also generally hate young people.

Again, the first Tea Party rallies in April 2009 -- heavily promoted in advance by Fox News -- only had about 300,000 attendees across 750 cities, but the media treated it like the Second American Revolution.

There will be multiple *individual* No Kings rallies today that have more people at them.

I think if they don’t rig it up so that the loon statue across the intersection blows it up with an eye laser, that’s a real missed opportunity.

Ramstad: Target CEO defends his insider expertise amid investor restlessness Some investors wanted an outsider to take charge of Target. New CEO Michael Fiddelke said he and other veterans deserved a chance to get the company growing again.

Business reporters usually have just one source -- company officials or analysts parroting company officials -- and NEVER talk the consumers for a more informed column. Instead, they belittle what is quite apparently an effective consumer backlash.

How many more Minnesotans is the Trump admin going to kill?

My message to MNUFC is this: you have the fan base you have, and you better lean into that or you will not have anywhere near the matchday support you currently enjoy. Your hardest core of supporters are telling you loud and clear what their values are, listen to them.

I told them. You don’t have to take on Trump, but refusing to acknowledge the pain and suffering of those who spend their money and energy on your team is an insult. I was hopeful they would do something.
To try to wish it all away with “unity” is just pathetic.

The public comment period for Rethinking I-94 has been extended two weeks to March 23. The community is asking for a THREE MONTH EXTENSION. It's time to call @governorwalz.mn.gov and your state reps and senators. It's appalling that the communities most affected by the highway are treated this way.

My father was born in 1945. The Salk vaccine wasn’t approved until 1955 (it was literally front page news). My dad remembers watching his mother’s tears of relief when he got the shot.

He’s still alive, btw. You want me to go ask him what happened to the kids he played with who didn’t get the shot?

Tesla made suppliers tool up for 120k units/year of this turd, it sold a third of that in year one, and then sales fell by 50% in year two.

Biggest flop in modern automotive history, and it isn't close.

Feed algorithms are widely suspected to influence political attitudes. However, previous evidence from switching off the algorithm on Meta platforms found no political effects'. Here we present results from a 2023 field experiment on Elon Musk's platform X shedding light on this puzzle. We assigned active US-based users randomly to either an algorithmic or a chronological feed for 7 weeks, measuring political attitudes and online behaviour. Switching from a chronological to an algorithmic feed increased engagement and shifted political opinion towards more conservative positions, particularly regarding policy priorities, perceptions of criminal investigations into Donald Trump and views on the war in Ukraine. In contrast, switching from the algorithmic to the chronological feed had no comparable effects.
Neither switching the algorithm on nor switching it off significantly affected affective polarization or self-reported partisanship. To investigate the mechanism, we analysed users' feed content and behaviour. We found that the algorithm promotes conservative content and demotes posts by traditional media. Exposure to algorithmic content leads users to follow conservative political activist accounts, which they continue to follow even after switching off the algorithm, helping explain the asymmetry in effects. These results suggest that initial exposure to X's algorithm has persistent effects on users' current political attitudes and account-following behaviour, even in the absence of a detectable effect on partisanship.

A new paper shows that less than 2 months of exposure to Twitter’s algorithmic feed significantly shifts people’s political views to the right.

Moving from chronological feed to the algorithmic feed also increases engagement.

This is one of the most concerning papers I’ve read in awhile.
