Yeah, recently I've noticed that too, and I hope it stays that way. AI images should not be normalized.

There is a new seafood restaurant near my place, sadly they also used AI for their logo and even their menu. It's a shame because the restaurant doesn't look half bad, but the AI imagery makes it look like a cheap place instead, and I can tell they have struggled to attact people.

Cara has potential but I haven't seen much adoption yet.

Vibe coding should not necessarily be a bad practice as long as you know what you're doing and you're willing to fix potential issues.
But "non-engineers use Claude code"? What for? If they have no idea what they're doing this site won't last.

Of course, I can't help to feel sad because I really enjoyed DA back in the day and see it dying this way would be very shameful.

The only thing I regret is that we still don't have a true sucesor to what DA used to be, and I don't think we will ever have one. There's been some interesting ideas here and there, but their user base it's just not the same.

I've used DA since 2006 I think? And to this day I still upload ocasionally, but only because I still get some interactions there.

But if it closes for good, it's not like I would really care. It's been awful for years and honestly they deserve to fail after years of not listening their user base.
