Again, imagine Greens co-leders Chlöe Swarbrick & Marama Davidson or any other woman on the left putting this kind of pout-and-flounce then the Press Pack NOT throwing it in their faces at every opportunity until the heat death of the universe.

You can't?

Sit with that for a minute.

Reading about how we could have fuel rationing in 6 weeks time and thinking about how different the present might be if the 'Green New Deal' that was talked about after the 2008 financial crisis had actually happened

Given they stole everyone’s art, writing, social media posts, and virtually everything else to build these AI models in the first place, why am I supposed to care if anyone steals from them?

Study In The Journal Of Pediatrics Finds Trans Youth Care Lowers Suicidality, Few Detransition The groundbreaking study found that suicidality dropped for transgender youth receiving hormone therapy by nearly 70%, with only 7 patients of 432 discontinuing treatment.

1. A landmark study was just published in The Journal of Pediatrics.

It found a 68% reduction in suicidality for trans youth getting HRT.

It also found only 7 of more than 400 stopped taking HRT... and of those that did, 4 still identified as gender-diverse.

Transgender care saves lives.

Ditch it 🤷

This 👇

There is money - it's about priorities. Low value roads or healthcare? Taxcuts for tobacco companies and landlords or education? These are real options that the govt has had.

Hundreds of teens with a health condition, disability may be cut from Jobseeker benefit The government is ending Jobseeker payments to 18- and 19 year olds whose parents earn more than $65,000.

Fucksake. It's quite clear now that they only looked at this benefit policy as political marketing and took no advice on who it would impact – which includes young people with serious health issues and disabilities. Just feckless and cynical. Shame on them. www.rnz.co.nz/news/politic...

This is a policy with no basis in any analysis. It's designed to look tough. It actually makes them look thoughtless and out of touch. It's arbitrary, mean, and simply designed to disguise the fact that the government is failing young people. Is this what being back on track feels like?

Education Minister Erica Stanford accused of 'manufacturing a crisis' Reforms will unleash a "tsunami of work", says a former school principal and NZQA executive.

Shades of the ferries and Dunedin hospital and the polytechs. Scrap the existing programme without warning or planning, create an expensive muddle, then replace it with something less good and more expensive. All for the sake of ideology.

This is why we fund scientists to study things like oyster slobber even if you don’t think it sounds important

Countries that recently recognised Palestine e.g. UK, Canada, Australia, France etc. ALL put in conditions to exclude Hamas - our NZ govt is using it as a shield for their moral failures #nzpol

Luxon himself handed me the Prime Minister's science prize last year. Let me say this in plain English: he's an idiot for running a govt who budgeted more for AI than for the Marsden fund. any journo reading this can quote me on it #nzpol

Green Party MP Benjamir Dovle resigns from Parliament
"Over the past months, I have been on a journey of healing. During this time, I have come to the realisation that I cannot complete this journey while in Parliament.
"After having baseless and violent accusations thrown at me, and an onslaught of hate, vitriol and threats of real-world violence directed at me and my whanau, I have decided to move on from Parliament.
"Whanau is the most precious thing in the world.
From the start, I have always said my child is my priority.
My tamaiti asked me to leave Parliament, and I am leaving for them and for my own wellbeing.
"I leave Parliament with pride, and that is something nobody can take away from me. It was a pleasure and a privilege to represent and work for the communities that carried me here. I am so grateful for their trust and guidance.
"I am leaving Parliament, I am not disappearing. I will continue to fight for people and planet, just not from inside this House.
"Our politics, our democracy and our Parliament should be a place for everyone. My time here has shown that we clearly still have work to do. I hope this experience is something that we can all learn and grow from," says Benjamin Doyle.

Authorised by Benjamin Doyle, Green MP. Parliament Buildings, Wellington.

I will never get over how a handful of tech bros set billions of dollars on fire to build a plagiarism machine that doesn't work and will destroy human society when they could have used a fraction of that money to fund a new golden age of creativity and knowledge.

rnz’s strategy under thompson has essentially been to make the people who actually listen to the station hate it in order to attract an audience that will never listen to it. genius lol

This is unforgiveable incompetence: NZ has spent $671m to get no ferries, rather than $551m to get new ferries that would be arriving within months to replace clapped-out ferries. This sort of mismanagement should bring down a government; amazingly, it's not even the worst example of their failings

I left docker desktop for Colima when I fist had Apple silicon. It’s great, but since moving to orbstack I don’t miss managing platform profiles. It’s worth a look for sure

Scientists accuse New Zealand and Ireland of trying to cover up livestock emissions ‘Accounting trick’ to support methane-emitting sectors undermines fight against climate change, say researchers

Soooo the NZ Govt is now being criticised by internationally acclaimed climate scientists in the @financialtimes.com. Why? Because Luxon & co are manipulating maths to hide NZ's grossly oversized methane emissions instead of taking action to cut #climate pollution.

As the UK and EU carve up fishing rights, I don't give a damn which party gets to trash our marine ecosystems by overexploiting fish populations, ripping up the seafloor and killing vast numbers of "non-target" animals. I just want this orgy of destruction to stop.

Hold on. It's unethical for the elected Mayor to do her job, because an unelected private citizen wants to be mayor one day and do it differently?
