Yay! You found one!

No, it's the Together Alliance (for love, hope and unity against the far right) marching in solidarity with the No Kings protests in the US. However, many of us here in the UK would also prefer no kings!
Even a stopped clock...etc., etc.
The more educated, the more likely to vote Green. What a surprise.
For me, mince and rice IS delicious, and has the added benefit of great texture. Definitely with you on the human rights though. (For the record, I'm a 51 year old woman, not a Gen Z man)
Also because they were so solidly made, and easily repairable, they can last forever!
I have been a sewing machine collector for many years- it will probably have a serial number too, on a little metal plaque, so you can look it up online. 1886 sounds about right for the model though! Lovely example.
Location doesn't matter, it's probably wandered off by now anyway
Sorrel and nettles, ramsons and three-cornered leek, hazelnuts and chestnuts, blackberries and apples. Plenty of tasty foraging in Cornwall, and lots of fun collecting!
I don't think this example was using twitter as a news source, but as a news story. I do believe the cesspit of twitter is socially significant, however much I would like it not to be. But I do agree about the enshittification, and the quicker it disappears the better.
Do you really feel that twitter conversations don't affect us socially? That what happens on twitter stays on twitter and doesn't affect the outside world?
Rivka Galchen wrote a novel from his mother's perspective. Excellent reading.
I live near there (sometimes)- local legends, Tony and Scrunch. Thanks for telling their story so evocatively.
Working for me- when I zoom in I can see them as red patches
The world's biggest cunts are the world's biggest influencers, it seems
I do know something about you, you just told me? I'm not miffed (in or out of quotation marks) and I don't know what gave you that impression. I am enlightened.
Fair enough. Explains a lot about the world. Thanks
I don't really get it. Are you telling me you use an untrustworthy source because it's quicker, but then you have to double check it?
Why use it at all then? Why not use the trusted sources initially and cut out the lies and repeated corrections?
At least Rimmer had the decency to die before he inflicted that on other people

Thank you! I'm British, and in the UK with my American husband right now, so of interest to us.
So are the ones in the UK protesting Trump, or UK royalty, or something else?
Just finished 1983- truly evocative of growing up in the 70s and 80s. Absolutely loved it.
I'm not sure, but have you looked at them with your UV torch? Apparently they glow (possibly due to bacteria)!
I've noticed the same in Cornwall, as well as a great year for hawthorn berries and rosehips.
Obviously that would be better, but a library of non-phonics books with no librarian is better than no library at all. My primary (admittedly in the olden days!) had a library with no librarian and I loved it nonetheless.
I am stunned to find out that there are primary schools without a library.
