Oh, that's totally fair. ::virtual high-five:: Ride that high.
Dunno what's irresponsible about wanting to share. I'm here to listen!
OH YEAH! The eleventh season of A Boy and His Beans kicks off today with Kool-Aid Jelly Beans! Like prestige TV, the seasons keep getting shorter, but we'll have fun while it lasts.

A photo of landscape just outside Yosemite, taken and posted to help the US Forest Service track the recovery of the area after/since a 2013 wildfire. It's mountainous, maybe 60% covered by vegetation, with a valley running through the middle.
@misterabk.bsky.social Only **just** listened to your live episode of @lateralcast.com with @tomscott.com. You were terrific, and I'd love for you to return in the future if you can!
Photo of a gas pump, focused on the "Regular" octane, reading at $5.999 per gallon.
Case in point, today!
Photo of a car's digital instrument cluster. It has 400 miles of fuel, 80848 miles on the odometer, 65 miles per hour set on the cruise control, an outdoor thermometer reading of 85°F, and—most saliently—76.7 miles per gallon average fuel economy since beginning my day's drive.
You gotta love it. #kianiro
Yeah, I've been using DDG for ages. In the early days, I occasionally returned to Google because DDG was still a bit underbaked, but that's been **ages** ago.
I haven't used nigh-all Google products in so long, I forget that they're still the default for so many people. I wonder when the scales will tip.
My marriage is open except for the part where my wife said she’d divorce me and then murder me if i was with another woman. Other than that, wide open.
If I'd watched the whole thing first, I needn't have bothered you. Nonetheless, I look forward to seeing you there!
Are you attending again next year?
Taking care of Tom is "doing stuff"; I highly recommend it.
Tomorrow I pick up Margo the bloodhound in north–central Indiana and drive her to her new home in western Arizona. It's my first volunteer, rescue-animal, long-haul transport. Wish me luck!
I have bottomless contempt for the Americans who put him there. Never for a moment has there been a legitimate, defensible reason to support him — not in 2016, not in 2020, not in 2024, and not now. Trump voters have always been without excuse. They own him, and all the harm he has done and will do.
roadhouseendgame i was talking to my mom about cardassians and said something along the lines of what must it be like to be a cardassian civilian. like abstractly knowing the rest of the galaxy thinks of your species as 'the evil ones' and kinda sorta knowing your government runs labor camps and torture prisons and is a military empire, and it's a huge deal for everyone else in the galaxy, but you just like run a restaurant so it's not a big part of your daily life, so you just like, go about your day and make soup and don't think about it' and then halfway through my sentence i actually heard myself and then had to go sit down for like ten minutes. like sat down in a chair and stared at the floor for ten minutes
whoops

@davekellett.bsky.social Happy Pretend to be e.e. cummings Day!
Comic. [Person is sitting at a desk with a laptop, turned toward voice coming from off-panel.] VOICE FROM OFF-PANEL: I got you the ingredients for dinner tonight. Oh, and the plums in the fridge drawer are for my yogurt tomorrow; you should just leave them. Be back later! PERSON’S THOUGHT BUBBLE: Oh no. [caption] Help. It actually happened. I shouldn’t. But how can I not!?

Product image of a white plastic bottle labeled "Insta-Flo: Odorless Drain Cleaner" with a green & red color scheme.
Re: drain-cleaning, have you ever tried this stuff? It was recommended to us last year, and it turned out to be crazy effective! Kinda scary, too, with how it fizzes & sizzles, but it's great for our century-old narrow drains.

Is non-fiction Wikipedia writing… art? It's a **kind** of creative endeavor—albeit sterile, dry, and unevocative, but hey, it's what I got.
Every time I plug my 'space-gray' MacBook into a USB-C to charge, I get super-paranoid remembering from *Sherlock*'s "A Study in Pink":
> Power connection: tiny little scuff marks around the edge of it. […] You never see those marks on a sober man's phone; never see a drunk's without them.
Just realized I have to be back up in less than four hours to get ready for a 75-minute drive to a 30-minute doctor's appointment. Then, I've a date with @scottcranfill.com in the afternoon. Maybe I can squeeze in a nap?
