Yeah, really lays bear their strategy of- we aren’t going to have free and fair elections so they don’t really care. I’m also pretty sure in the long run, it won’t matter if it’s popular, it will only matter how they make people feel.

Haven’t read yet, but my feeling is, anything that gets me off a sedative that keeps patient’s intubated is a good thing (assuming their airway/lungs etc are ready). Another med in that armamentarium is a good thing.

If someone gets an SBT and I expect them to pass, and no one can explain why, I often repeat so I can see myself, OR I repeat and see if I can manage a symptom like agitation or tachypnea so they can pass.

This is such a huge problem, and can undermine review papers. We spend so much time dissecting papers, and then when a review paper comes out, all of that nuance is gone. It really highlights the need for expertise and context when interpreting anything.
