WIP. I’d set this art quilt aside for ages after getting stuck on how I wanted to build mushroom caps. Brought it out again today and figured it out! Sometimes projects need to sit on the shelf for several months before they can be continued.

I want good writing, compelling ideas, & characters that interact in realistic ways. Sell it to me with a well written inner jacket blurb, quality cover art, & a title that doesn’t read as just another badly written typical fantasy novel.

It’s definitely a thing with a long tradition! And you can reinvent it for yourself too!

Sell-by date doesn’t matter for carrots. What matters is the condition of the carrot. Farms will store them for MONTHS; are a “storage crop”. If it’s not moldy, it’s good. That’s whole carrots that u can peel, tho. “Baby” carrots are peeled & get slimy fast; I will not eat them if they are slimy.

Our culture has such a reliance on art, mixed with so much disdain for artists' lives. Someone throws soup at a painting in a gallery or whatever and everyone acts like it's a literal murder, but that level of sympathy is for the object, almost never for the living conditions of artists.
