If you think you don't know of a woman in your life who has been harassed, assaulted, or abused, it isn't because it didn't happen. It's because they don't feel safe telling you.

The other thing is, you could have friends who are a domestic abusers, and you would never know it because they only show you what they want you to see.

For all those people who say they never saw signs. People who are violent behind closed doors will never show the world who they really are.

I worked as a counselor at a domestic violence shelter. The police are not the friend of women I’ve seen it time and time again. The only one people who help women are other women.
