I think the article was fair? Foord had a terrible night in front of goal and Sam Kerr is probably going to play in the U.S. What is shameful about that? Accepting fair criticism is part and parcel of being a professional footballer. The Matildas had a reasonable tournament. Japan were better.

That was the most one sided match I’ve watched for a while. Japan looked top notch. Matilda’s will need to play out of their skin against these dynamos.

A lot of PL games are a really hard watch these days if you are neutral to the teams. Either I’m just getting old or something has changed. Give me two teams going hard at it in a none league humdinger in the rain any day of the week. Getting out there and supporting grass roots is much more fun.
