I think there used to be this idea that NASA, the military and MIT and these other places were just so ahead in technology and now we know...

But what I am trying to get at - at 19 I never thought of buying a house, how hard it would be, or wanting one... it wasn't on my radar in my peer group.

Now it is thrust in at an early age and the pain of older people trying to buy one exposed and normalized.

One of the worst things that social media does is flatten the idea of peers and if you are 19 you think you should be rich, own a house, and be able to do anything you see someone else doing... ignoring the years of work all of those took and the idea of stages in your life.

There is a reasonable reason why companies are given a break when a project fails so that they will take that risk again

Saying that doesn’t mean I don’t think more should be gone to protect workers, make cobra not an employee funded event, or allow them to use/show their cancelled work
