Well started my #pokemon Gen 3 (Gen 6 remake of Gen 3) run for my #AlphaSapphire #Nuzlocke

After 3 resets to simply get a male Mudkip to name after my dog Briscoe (who my wife nicknamed Mudkip) I ended up with a Shiny male starter.

So far off to one hell of a start.

Which made things very awkward as I had to plan which #pokemon to level with what teams, at what times. To ensure I was still compliant with the rules.

That said I enjoy HeartGold for the nostalgic roller coaster it is. But, honestly I am glad have beaten Red so I can move on.

Plus for a #nuzlocke the design is not enjoyable. On more than one occasion there are entire boss battles that are higher level than those that come after, meaning you either need to have one #pokemon beast mode the entire fight solo, or do what I did and level 3 separate teams.

#pokemon Generation 2 as a whole has some batshit design choices.

On the one hand it had so much to do, it never felt like I was lacking for content.

On the other the pathing and leveling is the most nonsensical thing one could imagine.

So a buddy of mine and I are doing a #nuzlocke of a game from each generation (using remakes) to go through the entire series.

We’re only on season 2 and it feels like I can’t go two episodes without a complication causing him to shack up with someone.

#AlienEarth is fun. It is however flawed in that it tries to tell way to many stories at once. The Peter Pan style analogy is not just on the nose, but god damn piercing it.

I think today it finally hit me how much I have moved on since moving to Seattle and grown from the person I was/trying to be over the past decade.

And I wouldn't change a god damn thing.

Doing this if they plan ahead, build on the right engine you can help regain trust if the community, build a better engine made for more content and bring back old players.

You can rework all raids a bit to modernize.

Timegate the communities ability to move forward to raid races, kinda like an mmo. And give us the collection of everything up to the end of final shape.

I say this as after losing old content, all the sunsetting. Lose of old gear, all of it they owe the community a major push of goodwill.

They owe us the ability to enjoy all the content we paid for.
