I teach it in my senior Literature & Composition class. They see the parallels to what is happening in our country. I also smuggle Handmaid’s Tale to anyone student who asks since such books are banned in our library

Just purchased a kindle version of Back in the USSR! I teach high school language arts, so I enjoy reading novels my students might like.

I sadly feel the negativity and am saddened that because of the negativity, I am glad I retire in a few years. I love my job of teaching but hate the bullshit!

This week I had two former students contact me, and I truly felt the heartfelt love. Don’t ever listen when someone states that public education is horrible. We in the trenches know we care about our students and are doing great things to boost up any and all kids.
