Not to mention a major target of derision...

I feel very literary this morning after having listened to a disco-fied "Wuthering Heights" whilst on the treadmill. Kate Bush was nowhere near this version and it was a bit thin on plot, but it had a good beat and you could dance to it. I give it a 7.

I have been in publishing well over twenty-five years and have just now learned that the row of three dots (or asterisks) separating one chapter from another is called a dinkus. The more you know... #knowledgeispower
I've never read the books - are they good?
In "Call the Midwife," it's usually a plot point.
I have a joke about Sisyphus, but it bowled me over.

Thank you, Kevin!!
Happiest of birthdays to my friend and comrade, @nathanburgoine.bsky.social, a terrific writer, a great dog dad, and someone who makes my day brighter whenever I talk to him.
Most of them couldn't even chew toast.
Rocky Horror Picture Show - midday at a suburban strip mall in Denver with a bunch of senior citizens who had wandered over from a nearby Furr's Cafeteria (a cheap all you can eat brunch place). They stayed until Tim Curry's entrance, then they left en masse, some still clutching their popcorn.

Oh no - I'm so sorry to hear about this. Hope everything turns out okay. Ryk and I have our fingers crossed!

I love this cover - always have!
You're a terrific writer with not enough exposure. Don't let a little bad luck and a crap mood change your mind. You just seem to be stuck on the downside of the wheel (as in Boccacio's "Decameron"). Your fortune will turn, my friend.
That was a great story - it deserves another platform!
