Guided by the Kosovo Information & Privacy Agency, over 40 officials from different institutions discussed the challenges authorities face in fulfilling their obligations to guarantee the right to information & to privacy, analysing best practices in line w/ European standards.

Over 100 participants of EULEX-Assist Kosovo project Youth as Agents of Change Against Gender-Based Violence marked the close of Kosovo Women’s Month, turning dialogue & art into action against GBV, proving change isn’t just an idea, it’s a responsibility.
The training aimed at:
✅ Improving the quality and results of internal investigations.
✅ Promoting a human rights-centred approach and enhance trust.
✅ Increasing compliance with European standards and best practices.
From 31/03 to 2/04, at the Dubrava Correctional Centre, in cooperation with Kosovo Correctional Service’s experts, we delivered a training for 20 KCS staff on investigative interviewing techniques, focusing on the non-coercive, human rights-compliant PEACE interview model.
The Head of EULEX had a wide-ranging discussion with Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti. He congratulated him on his new mandate & reaffirmed EULEX's readiness to continue supporting Kosovo institutions, aiming to strengthen the efficiency of the judiciary & the effective enjoyment of human rights.

Today, the Head of EULEX, Giovanni Pietro Barbano, met Albulena Haxhiu in her new role as Speaker of the Kosovo Assembly. Discussing the crucial role of the Assembly in upholding the rule of law, he reaffirmed EULEX’s support for a human rights-based, independent justice system in Kosovo.
From 24-30 March, EULEX kicked off week one of a 3-week management training for Kosovo Correctional Service leadership. The programme was designed to strengthen managerial skills & discuss human rights standards and practices, as well as to promote internal accountability.
During the meeting, he also reaffirmed that EULEX's priority remains supporting Kosovo justice institutions to fulfill their human rights obligations for all - ensuring they are fully accountable, independent, and resilient against any undue interference.
