Catching up on recent @weirdinthewade.bsky.social episode and delighted to find a road ghost episode - I’m fascinated by road ghosts - constantly searching and wandering, only ever a brief interaction. One day I’m going to have a good explore of bluebell hill and the road ghosts there

Watched Akira in the cinema and wow - still just as good as I remember it, still incredibly iconic
Revisiting the first ever anime I ever saw - (unless battle of the planets and that Godzilla cartoon series count?) by seeing Akira in the cinema
As far as anyone’s concerned, I did a 5k walk today for grown up health reasons but just between us it was a tour of all the Pokémon Go gyms in the area.:..
Watched Something Very Bad Is Going To Happen which was very enjoyable. Slow start but got good - episode 5 especially creepy. Great ending. But as usual with these marriage as horror stories (like Ready or Not) I have to wonder why she ever fell for him at all
I did not realise the clocks had gone forward and just thought I’d managed to sleep in for once
Inspired by @tartanmog.bsky.social been diving into sci-fi. Saw Project Hail Mary twice - that’s a fantastic move, loved it. Reading Three Body Problem - not an easy read but intriguing. Listening to audio dramatisation of Murderbot diaries - I love it. And now watching Interstellar - very intrigued
I think I need to read more sci-fi myself. I’ve just finished reading Murderbot for the third time, but I think I need more. I shall raid the library this afternoon!
I’m reading Andrew Miller The Land in Winter and it’s set in the sixties and there’s a woman in it who loves reading pulp sci-fi and when the doctor says she might prefer Virgina Woolf she has such scorn for him. I love her. I love Virginia Woolf but also yay for a woman who loves pulp sci-fi!
Oh, I’ve got that somewhere, I shall read that, thanks
No spoilers so I can’t say what the line is but there is a line on page 287 of Itch that I absolutely love and adore
Ooh! That sounds good. I’ll have to get that
I am reading Itch by Gemma Amor, a feminist folk horror and I am loving it. Very intriguing and - well - it makes my skin crawl.
It’s so perfect having Lucy Briers play Mrs Hill in The Other Bennet Sister, supporting and encouraging this new Mary
I really want to try and do more podcast appearances this year, if anyone needs a guest or knows of a particular podcast that might be looking let me know!

Happy National Voiceover Day to all of our talented voice actors in Blue Noon, some you know and some... that are a mystery. For a few more weeks, anyway. 🤠
Thanks for the shout out Peter! And just a reminder if you missed it, the last episode of Weird in the Wade was a discussion about and with “paranormal women.” Link to episode below 1/2

Happy Ides of March day everyone…
Project Hail Mary on the other hand - absolutely fantastic. Loved that. Lived up to the book
I want everyone at Range Rover to know that everyone in that cinema having to sit through that advert before the movie thinks the bloke in it is a prick
Went to see How to Make A Killing. Would advise that everyone watch Kind Hearts and Coronets instead.
Reading a ghost story that is ‘I heard a cat purring on my bed but we didn’t have a cat and no way for one to get in’. Neither of those is a barrier to finding a cat on your bed. (The black cat continues to visit me at night and now an orange cat comes in sometimes too)
Friday the 13th. Once again a great day to go see what that noise in the basement is. Have that care free sex. Assume the person in the mask is a friend messing around. Hell it’s only twenty years tonight since the strange murders it’d be fun to check out the abandoned house. You’re only young once.
Yeah, they’re very much top tier west end musical prices and I’ve had to go for a seat very far from the stage to get even a vaguely affordable ticket. But I have been waiting to see a live version of this musical for so very long that I just talked myself into it.
I am astounded and impressed by marmalade’s ability to make everything in a 100 yard radius sticky
Rediscovered Dalek Masterplan - and go my ticket for the Death Note Musical - what a day
Dalek Masterplan! They found more of Dalek Masterplan! That was top of my wish list!

Hmmm - why is the The Other Bennett Sister being advertised with the music Pink Pony Club? A hint?
Oh dear. So - that’s the end then? That’s unbearably sad #callthemidwife
This really feels like the very last episode ever #callthemidwife
