Earth 1: Lithium

I had the privilege of being interviewed by Lutz Koepnick for the Art of Interference podcast. This episode is a treasure trove of ways of thinking about lithium, electromobility and energy transitions conveyed in an exquisite narrative format. Please give it a listen and share widely! edu.nl/7qqx7

My life in class limbo: am I working class or insufferably bourgeois? I have two degrees, two books to my name and I write for the Guardian. Yet I spent time in care, live at home and struggle for money. Can Karl Marx help me make sense of myself?

I really enjoyed this reflection on class. The author takes a really interesting trip from Marx to Loach to Sociology that makes him feel very confused. But then he figures out that class is not about stratification, but, in true Marxian fashion, about relations! www.theguardian.com/inequality/2...

My dad is on his second week of fighting against bacterial meningitis. It has been really tough in him and the family, but we are resilient, and he is a heck of a fighter. Doctors think the worst is behind us. Maybe he regains consciousness. Maybe he starts moving. But most likely, he won't die.
