So she thinks the big problem for new nuclear and additional infrastructure is the planning regulations? I wonder if she could be persuaded to provide some detail for that?

Israeli soldiers using sexual assault to force Palestinians out of West Bank, report says Experts say attacks, also carried out by settlers, are leading girls to quit school and enter early marriages

This is F*cked up beyond belief. The IDF and the so called settlers need to go back and read the Torah. It s not permitted to abuse even your enemies let alone people you share the land with.

You’re in Australia? We’re in the UK where the story is the same.

How long can this fact be ignored?

Sorry to be overly sincere for a second, but here's why we decided to persevere through all of the bullshit and take over InfoWars.

There's just gotta be a line somewhere.

Thank you @pablo.show for letting me talk so openly about this.

Wondering about the lack of any (?) LD MPs on the list of signatories. Were they given the chance to sign?

Suspect the Reform definition of 'review' is 'decide in advance what the outcome is going to be'.

I'll keep my fingers crossed you have that correct!

Morgan was replaced by his assistants I think. Doesn’t sound like recognition of utter failure to me.

Reform would review all asylum claims from the last five years The current Labour government has already announced major crackdowns on immigration, including disrupting gangs.

This is what happens when our leaders refuse to stand up for sanctuary.
This horrific idea would once have been unthinkable, but attacks on asylum rights under successive Governments have emboldened anti-migrant politicians.

Agrivoltaics maintain or enhance forage quality, study finds Researchers have analyzed the biomass and nutritional value of grasses and legumes for grazing dairy cattle, growing in agrivoltaics fields. The results showed that forage quality may be maintained or...

Good piece here. I did read something else recently pointing out the UK is lagging on agrivoltaics - definitely work to be done on that.

Can you post a link to that?

Quite a rise from 29% in 2025 to 54% in December. Hopefully that will continue.

I never trust anyone who gives me an 11 word summary of a story and manages to get it entirely wrong.

Have to think that - if it’s a conspiracy - then a couple of weeks later would have been more damaging.

And the best defence against people misunderstanding you is not to overestimate your ability to convey tone in writing.

The best defence against AI is to check things. AI also doesn't stop you using search engines.

Does the Reform blokes claim make ANY sense?

Can anyone explain how this makes money? What product is AI providing to what market?

Re the Censuswide for Ecotricity survey that gets quoted in this story - the one that 'shows' that running a heat pump is more expensive than a boiler - is there a detailed debunk of that survey?

Ditto here. Our average price per kWh over the last year will be something like 14p - we very rarely touch peak rate prices as the battery means we don't need to.

Turns out that the sperm whales have been working on dumbing down their language so that the humans are able to understand it. Reason being so they can pass on the message "Stop trashing the planet you morons."

....and the AI gang is so convinced of their own arguments that somehow AI security is "the most important global issue of our era." An Oxford Uni professor no less.

It's an interesting piece but I have to absolutely disagree about this being 'the most important global issue of our era'. Are you really suggesting that ensuring the earth's climate system doesn't degenerate to the point where we're talking billions of deaths is less important than AI security?

Excellent. For info, we've gone with Good Energy's heat pump tariff and that's working well for us. Let's us charge the battery at cheap rate twice a day and that has led to us using only a tiny amount of peak rate. I think other companies have similar offers.

Nice - we have 10 panels, battery and heat pump. Have you signed up to a good charging tariff?

To me, that's exactly where they have failed to deliver the 'Change' that I was hoping for. Irrespective of the bits and pieces of good things they've done, that's what the big picture of Starmer's time in charge is. Fingers crossed they can turn it around, but I can't see any sign of that.
