Good piece here. I did read something else recently pointing out the UK is lagging on agrivoltaics - definitely work to be done on that.

Can you post a link to that?
Quite a rise from 29% in 2025 to 54% in December. Hopefully that will continue.

I never trust anyone who gives me an 11 word summary of a story and manages to get it entirely wrong.
Have to think that - if it’s a conspiracy - then a couple of weeks later would have been more damaging.
And the best defence against people misunderstanding you is not to overestimate your ability to convey tone in writing.
The best defence against AI is to check things. AI also doesn't stop you using search engines.
Does the Reform blokes claim make ANY sense?
Can anyone explain how this makes money? What product is AI providing to what market?
Re the Censuswide for Ecotricity survey that gets quoted in this story - the one that 'shows' that running a heat pump is more expensive than a boiler - is there a detailed debunk of that survey?
Ditto here. Our average price per kWh over the last year will be something like 14p - we very rarely touch peak rate prices as the battery means we don't need to.
Turns out that the sperm whales have been working on dumbing down their language so that the humans are able to understand it. Reason being so they can pass on the message "Stop trashing the planet you morons."
....and the AI gang is so convinced of their own arguments that somehow AI security is "the most important global issue of our era." An Oxford Uni professor no less.
It's an interesting piece but I have to absolutely disagree about this being 'the most important global issue of our era'. Are you really suggesting that ensuring the earth's climate system doesn't degenerate to the point where we're talking billions of deaths is less important than AI security?
Excellent. For info, we've gone with Good Energy's heat pump tariff and that's working well for us. Let's us charge the battery at cheap rate twice a day and that has led to us using only a tiny amount of peak rate. I think other companies have similar offers.
Nice - we have 10 panels, battery and heat pump. Have you signed up to a good charging tariff?
‘Perfect’ would be if best condition for dual generation was triggered by presence of a rainbow.
To me, that's exactly where they have failed to deliver the 'Change' that I was hoping for. Irrespective of the bits and pieces of good things they've done, that's what the big picture of Starmer's time in charge is. Fingers crossed they can turn it around, but I can't see any sign of that.

Point 4 is that you're muted now. Maybe try some thinking some time? I can recommend it.
