What does this mean for curbing AI-enabled abuse? When these services lived in underground markets, there were at least some barriers. Now anyone can place an order in a few minutes. Both platforms and legislators need to pay attention.
Three out of four NSFW sellers joined Fiverr in 2025, compared to 28% in mainstream AI categories. Over half of gigs mention OnlyFans, This means Fiverr may be enabling users to create content that violates the rules of platforms downstream.
We collected and analyzed close to 600 gigs on Fiverr advertising AI-generated NSFW content, searchable and payable by credit card. 82.8% offer deepfake-enabling features. Some ask buyers to upload reference photos of a specific person.
The ecosystem of deepfake pornography is growing fast and making millions. Legislators are scrambling to respond, with the TAKE IT DOWN Act released in 2025. Yet these services do not typically disappear. Are they being monetized through avenues previously unexplored?
