It really is no loss that I’ll no longer be there to vote. I voted for Starmer. So clearly a poor judge of character.
And yeah, I hoped he was going to be quietly competent and continue the policies he actually stood on.
And I hope something else IS possible as this government a) isn’t it and b) won’t get a second term as it stands.
When Starmer goes, if the PLP can find someone with wider appeal to the core left-of-centre vote then we may reappraise what or who ‘something else’ is.
