Hunting with dogs is still legal in Northern Ireland… but you can help end this cruelty.
Animals in the countryside are left unprotected. Your MLA has the power to change that.
Ask them to support the Hunting with Dogs Bill & make stronger protections a reality. https://leagueacs.co.uk/DDWHI

“The League hunter brazenly holding up his bloodied fox to the public in Cirencester was there to show the scale of illegality that the government is looking to get to grips with.” – Emma Slawinski, CEO.

"This paltry fine highlights why we need stronger hunting laws which includes the option of custodial sentences for the courts in order to act as an effective deterrent to prevent foxes from being hunted in our countryside." - Emma Slawinski, our CEO.

The government’s public consultation is our best chance to end hunting. Have your say:

Banning trail hunting alone won’t stop illegal hunting. The law needs strengthening to close loopholes & prevent reckless or so-called ‘accidental’ hunting that continues to harm wildlife.
If we want to end hunting with dogs, stronger legislation with real enforcement mechanisms is essential.
Deer hunting involves hounds chasing stags or hinds to exhaustion over long distances. Hunt members then follow, often on horseback or using quad bikes, before the exhausted animal is finally killed.

Trail hunting is a smokescreen.
It has been used time and again to mask the continued chasing and killing of wild animals. The law was meant to protect them, but loopholes are still being exploited.

Can you spare a minute to write to your MP and ask them to support our campaign to end cage bird breeding of game birds? https://leagueacs.co.uk/UIMWB
A recent outbreak of avian flu at a North Yorkshire game bird farm has led to 22,000 birds being culled.
Cramped living conditions make outbreaks almost inevitable, putting both animal welfare and wildlife at risk.

We launched a major new report at the houses of Parliament this week calling for an end to greyhound racing in the UK.
‘Reaching the Finish Line’ is a joint initiative with GREY2K USA and exposes the inherent dangers and welfare issues at the heart of the sport.
Great to have Dominic Dyer join us at our Manchester campaign event.
The government consultation on hunting is a vital opportunity to finally close loopholes in the Hunting Act & stop the illegal killing of wildlife. But it will only succeed if people speak up 👇

When birds are packed into cramped, unnatural conditions like this, disease can spread fast, with devastating consequences.
22,000 birds killed. Not by chance, but because of a system that puts profit before welfare.
Our drone footage shows intensive cage breeding on a North Yorkshire game bird farm, with avian flu later confirmed at the site.
This was preventable. Help end it:
