Personally, I would love the UK in. And it will help European capital markets. But the EU is unwieldy as it is. Letting a troublesome UK back in may not be a good idea.

The imperative is to get more cheap renewables to get us off Trump LNG and Gulf oil asap. Faffing about trying to do it small-scale community-owned will still take forever and still attract objections.
