Looking forward to representing all of Canada at this conference with an opening keynote where I will push my evil agenda of not wanting to go far for a pint.
thank you for the support 🇨🇦

Absolutely incredible.

NASA Astronaut Reid Wiseman, who commanded Artemis II, took this footage from the far side of the Moon with his iPhone.

Watch with sound on.

“The U.S. has changed, and we must respond.” No hedging. No “our American friends.” Just a clean acknowledgement that the country on the other side of the border is not the country we thought we knew."

A photo of a road from the perspective of a person on a bike riding down the road. There are cars parked on both sides, and a brilliant blue sky above. And the street is lined with cherry trees in full blume with big puffy pink flowers.

Attention #bikeyvr: Ride W7th Ave between Laurel and Alder. You won't be disappointed.

Suburban expansion costs increase to $465 per person per year in Ottawa | CBC News Infill development is known to be much cheaper for cities than adding new subdivisions, and City of Ottawa staff have shared estimates for how much the municipality saves — and spends — depending on w...

It costs the City of Ottawa $465/person each year to serve new low-density homes, over & above what it receives from property taxes/fees.

On the other hand, high-density infill such as apartment buildings pays for itself plus an extra $606/person each year.

Sprawl costs, infill saves. #UrbanTruth

Lake Washington Boulevard will be open to people and closed to car traffic every weekend this summer from Memorial Day to Labor Day!

The consistent schedule makes it easier to plan for, enjoy while walking or rolling, or to avoid while driving.

Thank you, Canada, for the service of Colonel Jeremy Hansen. NASA couldn't have carried out this mission without his expertise and professionalism. He's yet another example of how our northern neighbors and friends honor us with their excellence and grace.

Hit 10,000km on way to work this morning. @ternbicycles.com HSD has been an awesome bike. I figure it'll have paid for itself in another 3-4000km. Bike is barely 3 years old!

Yup. Accelerate more slowly and drive the speed limit. You will save money on gas and you will get where you are going in almost the same amount of time

"Oil crisis", bigger vehicles, sprawl, zoning that induces car dependency, and we never learn our lesson. Over and over again, we cater to a single industry, bankrupting taxpayer and private household budgets to uphold the century of the automobile by force and willful ignorance.
