“Scandal and entitlement”

You can say the same about MPs but nobody is talking about abolishing democracy

You are entitled to dislike the Royal Family as individuals or even as a component of our constitution, but denying their value and contribution to our country is not a sensible position

The Royal Family make a huge and unique contribution to the UK in terms of diplomacy, international influence, tourism, trade and social cohesion

To talk about costs without talking about value is missing the point

Most of the Royals work hard and serve our country with great distinction

Just say it.

Hi Freddie

Our country is in the grip of a catastrophic housing crisis.

Young people and young families in particular are struggling to get on the housing ladder.

Why you do think it is appropriate to shut down planning processes altogether for new housing?

Isn’t this the worst of NIMBYism?

A “progressive” recently shared this with me. I don’t like it

I dislike right wing populism because it “others” immigrants and cultural elites

I also dislike left wing populism, which “others” people due to their economic status

Both are equally nasty perspectives. That is why I am a centrist.

Reeves pushes for EU youth migration scheme ahead of Budget The chancellor calls for an 'ambitious' deal as she looks to boost growth ahead of the 26 November Budget.

It's 10 months since I introduced a Bill into parliament for a youth mobility scheme with EU countries.

Since then we've had warm words but no action. Again we're short of detail.

I hope this isn't another damp squib because our young people deserve better.

Farage is ‘unpatriotic’, Lib Dems claim as they step up fight against Reform Deputy leader Daisy Cooper said the Lib Dems would present themselves as the party of ‘positive patriotism’

Wanting the UK to succeed is patriotic.

Asking America to sanction us, like Farage did, isn’t.

That’s not love of our country - it’s sabotage.

Our flag does not belong to one creed or to one race. It belongs to one people, the British people.

We will not let our flag be used to intimidate.

Government needs to get its act together on infrastructure. Too complex. Too slow. Too fragmented.
Huge state failure leading to housing crisis for tens of millions.
Too easy to blame developers.

No it’s not.
Poor people are not poor because rich people are rich.
This kind of far left populist Corbynista nonsense doesn’t help anyone.

Russia, China and Iran Use Kirk’s Murder to Stoke Conspiracy Theories and Division State media and online trolls have seized on the assassination to score geopolitical points against the United States, according to a new report.

In the week since Charlie Kirk’s assassination, Russia, Iran and China have spread thousands of false or incendiary claims about what happened to the conservative activist, in an effort to stoke political divisions or to portray the U.S. as a dysfunctional country.

Elon Musk calls for dissolution of parliament at far-right rally in London US-based tech boss was addressing the ‘unite the kingdom’ protest organised by Tommy Robinson via video link

Elon Musk’s comments are a clear attempt to undermine our democracy.

We must all, regardless of political leaning, stand in joint condemnation of his comments.

No one, no matter how wealthy or powerful, should be allowed to get away with using their platform to incite violence.

More and more people are backing our call to balance the BBC.

Our national broadcaster should be fair and balanced, not a mouthpiece for Nigel Farage and his 4 MPs.
