It's a wonderful book!
On Saturday we were honoured to host Jenny Uglow as she told us about Gilbert White and her new book 'A Year with Gilbert White'. 📖
We had a sold out barn, thanks to everyone who came along!
On Tuesday our new Exhibition 'Elements of Landscape' opened.
The exhibition features the work of artist John Hitchens from the 1960s to today.
John visited us to see his work in situ and sign a couple of his books for the gift shop!
According to research there has been a worrying decline in the garden bird population due to a disease called trichomonosis. This is a highly contagious disease which can spread where birds gather in large numbers like at bird feeders

Our new Exhibition opens next week!
The exhibition complements a book of the same title. It shows additional material not featured in the monograph, including new work, drawings and examples from the artist’s sketchbooks.

We have had an excellent day at our Natural History Book Day on Saturday. Thank you so much to our attendees and all our volunteers who made the day possible, as well as our wonderful sponsors and speakers.
Birds, Bugs and Beasts Egg Hunt 🐣
This year’s egg hunt features a range of egg-laying creatures large and small.
Hunt for 12 eggs hidden in Gilbert White’s Garden and match the creatures pictured on the eggs with clues.
Dates: Saturday 28th March - Sunday 12th April
Spring is your reminder to step outside and reconnect with nature. Now the flowers are blooming, everything is starting to feel more alive outside. It’s the perfect time to pause, breathe and reconnect with nature.
