The NYS Common Retirement Fund has invested $400M in Palantir, $350M in Israel bonds, and about $5B in fossil-fuel investments.

It's time, after 20 years, to finally replace Tom DiNapoli, who's up for re-election this year. In my opinion, the best candidate to replace him is @drewforny.bsky.social.

From the Civil Rights Movement to the March for our Lives against gun violence, protests in educational spaces have made history.

Campus should be a place for discussion, debate, dissent, and yes, non-violent protest.

Safety is essential—but change requires disruption.

Thank you Senator Chris Van Hollen for sharing US citizen Rachel Corrie’s story from the Senate floor and voting to block the destructive bulldozers that Israeli soldiers used to kill her.

For the cost of one Harvard Professor of the Constitution Only Applies to White People, you could endow 10 professorships of any less commonly taught language at any university in the USA

This was seventeen years ago today. Can’t help wondering how different things would be now if rhe architects of the torture program had been held accountable in some way rather than honored and appointed to more presigious posts. www.nytimes.com/2009/04/17/u...

"Garber said that “a great deal” of what had initially been labeled antisemitism was ultimately anti-Israeli bias, which he called “insidious and maybe more corrosive of University life.”"

So @theharvardcrimson.bsky.social is reporting that Alan Garber, president of Harvard, admits it was criticism of Israel, not antisemitism, but that criticizing Israel is worse.

As someone who was forced out of Harvard because my viewpoints were too diverse, this just confirms that Harvard wants in on the white supremacy grift on their own terms, not anyone else’s. They not like us.

This is wildly myopic and a massive hostage to fortune IMO. Just because MTG and Tucker Carlson hate Jews more than other minorities doesn't mean they won't turn on the rest once the pogroms start. They absolutely will. Lie down with dogs, you get fleas.

Haven’t had a bad dish at Laut. I love the roti at Semma. If you’re looking at that level, Dirt Candy is really good. Lots of great Yemeni coffee places have opened up in NYC. Mission Ceviche is a good social/sharing spot. Persepolis on UES and Balad on LES are nice too.

Near the con or away? Laut in Union Square is great. Semma downtown is good. Grey Dog is a lovely casual place.

Contact the Mayor - NYC Mayor's Office Send a message to NYC mayor on the web. You can also get links to media contacts and submit FOIL requests.

As we wait for the Mayor's executive budget to be released, you can let him know that you expect him to keep his campaign promise to fund our libraries at 0.5% of the city expense budget: www.nyc.gov/mayors-offic...

If you live in NYC, it's important that he hears from you.
